Reid Schaller put on all four batters he faced in the 9th, leaving with one run in, nobody out, and the bases loaded. Carson Teel got them sober with a single and a double to the first two batters he faced to get the blown save and secure the loss for Schaller. FCL Astros vs. FCL Nationals – PPD
That’s seven rainouts in less than two months for the FCL Nats. They’ll make it up next Wednesday. ESPN has learned the game will be at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
DSL Nationals 11 DSL Mets1 2
• Leon 2IP, 0H, 0R, BB, 3K

• J. Fernandez 2-4
• J. Garcia 2-5, 2R, SB(6), E(7)
At 6’6″ and 240 pounds the Nats figured Leif Strom would someday harness that in to something. After 4 years and a 9.50 ERA in 27 appearences in 2021 he sure had lots of chances.
The Nats were more patient then I would have been.
Good grief, how slow do you have to be to be pinch-run for by Blake Swihart?
I noticed that they actually had Swihart playing CF the other day! Maybe he’s really Craig Biggio and we just didn’t know it.
Perhaps Ford is as fast as Chris Marrero, who could only outrun women pregnant with twins and Sandy Leon.
You forgot the slowest of them all, Bennie Molina 🙂
Bengie
Swihart played shortstop and pitcher in high school and is not your typical slow catcher. Pretty agile…..for a catcher!
Merrill/Kelly matchup today. Funny.
what have you done for me lately..Janet Jackson sings for Leif Strom part of that trioka with no-no.
Can Wiseman put together a hot streak to close the season.
Wiseman better, as he’s getting too old for AA.
Carillo should probably be the talk of the camp next spring.
Erik Tejada seems to be typed up on the daily DSL mentionings quite often.
