Rochester vs. Syracuse – PPD
Rain washed out the Red Wings and the Mets nearly six hours before first pitch. They’ll shoot to make this up on Wednesday, August 25th. Roster moves: RHP Diego Moreno reassigned from Harrisburg.
Akron 2 Harrisburg 0 – SUSP.
• Teel 1IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, BB, K, HR
Harrisburg and Akron got started (well, the RubberDucks did at least) but play was stopped after the first inning due to rain. They’ll pick things up this afternoon with Javy Guerra “starting” the top of the 2nd and Logan Allen scheduled to pitch in the bottom of the 2nd. The second game will be a seven-inning contest. Roster moves: RHP Javy Guerra rehab assignment ended, activated from 7-Day I.L., reassigned from Rochester; C Brady Lindsly placed on the 7-Day I.L.; LHP Ike Schlabach reassigned from FCL.
Hudson Vallery 6 Wilmington 5

Mitchell Parker’s AA debut was spoiled when the Renegades rallied for four runs against Jordan Bocko to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 5-3 lead. Wilmington got single runs in the 8th and 9th but for the second straight game couldn’t get the equalizer in a 6-5 loss. Parker allowed just one run on a solo HR and four hits total while walking two and striking out five. Yasel Antuna, Omar Meregildo, and Jack Dunn each went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored as the Blue Rocks to lead the Blue Rocks’ 10-hit, zero-walk offense. Roster moves: RHP Davis Moore promoted from Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg hit ’em hard, early, and often as they scored five in the first, smacked a homer, and had six of 14 hits go for extra bases in an 11-5 rout of Lynchburg. Seth Romero scattered eight hits over four innings, letting in two runs, walking one, and fanning six. A 58-minute rain delay in the top of the 5th ended his night. Matt Merrill picked up the win for pitching a scoreless 5th. Kevin Strohschein and Joe Randa combined for six hits and seven RBI while Ricardo
Méndez singled, doubled, and drove in two as his hit streak hit 15 games.

Just want to give everyone a heads up that there is a free preview today at MILB.TV. if you haven’t tried it before here’s your chance.
I was ready to watch the Senators last night and saw all of 1 inning.
Okay, you made me look. Ike Schlabach was drafted in the 19th round out of high school by Pittsburgh.
Looking at his numbers he should not have been released, he’s only 24 years and, like everyone, has not pitched since 2019. Always good to have another lefthander in the system.
