Ben Braymer went the first four innings and gave up a run on two hits (neither a HR!) and three walks while striking out one. The loss went to Bryan Bonnell, as he gave up the aforementioned two runs on three hits and walk over an inning and 1/3rd. The Plates got just seven hits at the dish, with Blake Swihart and Humberto Arteaga the only two batters to reach base twice.
Harrisburg vs. Reading – PPD
The Senators couldn’t get of committee as they were rained out for the sixth time this season. They’ll make it up with a doubleheader tomorrow night.

Jackson Tetreault got the start and went the first four innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out three. The win went to Todd Peterson with three innings of one-run ball on three hits and a walk while fanning three. Omar Meregildo broiled BlueClaws pitchers for two HRs and four RBI, while Yasel Antuna extended his hitting streak to three games with three singles as the Blue Claws pounded out 15 hits total. Roster moves: RHP Todd Peterson activated from the 7-Day I.L; RHP Jackson Tetreault reassigned from FCL for MiLB rehab.

FCL Mets vs. FCL Nationals – PPD
They’ll make this one next week when the two teams meet in Port St. Lucie.
Great to see Tetreault back and throwing well.
You’ve gotta feel for Amos Willingham. After a promising start in Frederickburg, it’s just all fallen apart in Wilmington. He’s now thrown six games in Delaware, and given up at least one run in every single one, sporting a disastrous 14.54 ERA. Worse, he’s also allowed 6 HR in those 13 IP… opponents are hitting a Ruthian .413/.471/.778 against him. Maybe a demotion will work some wonders on him, like it has for Drew Mendoza.
Meanwhile, Davis Moore has racked up 38 K in only 24.1 IP in Fredericksburg. Gilberto Chu has been a lot better than his 4.20 ERA. He’s got a 0.80 WHIP, and only allowed 12 baserunners in 15 IP, unfortunately 8 of them managed to score (7 earned). His 2.26 FIP is a lot better metric. Chu and Moore are both 23 and have little left to prove in Low A.
Not a sentiment I figured we’d be expressing much this year, but thank goodness this site focuses on the minor league affiliates. Woof.
Yes, good to see both Tetreault and Peterson back from injuries. Tetreault was strong at Potomac in 2019 before struggling at Harrisburg, so presumably, the Nats would hope that he can establish himself pretty quickly at Wilmington and move back up for another shot at AA. He’s still listed as only 189 lbs on a 6-5 frame, though. Peterson is the same height but outweighs him by 41 pounds! Guess we know which one gets to play power forward . . .
Peterson stuck around the big-league spring camp a long time, so the organization has a twinkle in its eye for him. We’ll see whether he can deliver on the promise that they see.
