To answer a question in the comments, there’s still no word on Seth Romero, who was last reported to be in West Palm Beach, allegedly rehabbing from a rib injury in early June. Jackson Rutledge has not been heard from since reportedly suffering a shoulder injury on May 22.
Why on earth was Gilbert Lara (.220/.556 in 143 PAs) promoted over Jake Alu (.319/.879 in 148 PAs)? I do not understand this organization sometimes.
Because he was in on the Gio trade or the recent summer solar / lunar eclipse has effected more than just me .. even Nats brass ?? Lol
It seem the Nats organization is less interest in minor league wins (or development) than in filling up holes on a lineup card.
Based on the sample size of one game, it would appear that Lara, a SS, was moved up because Duarte, a SS, was being benched. Alu is a 2B (same with Marinconz).
