Wiseman (who at least had a clean RBI single yesterday) and Crowe need to tighten it up. Come on, guys, you looked soooooo good in April.
Yadiel Hernandez needs to get a chance soon. He’s earned it, and the big league team could use that bat. The glove is obviously not fantastic, but the Nats play Soto and Eaton in the corners and they’re terrible defenders. Send Michael A. Taylor down or trade him for a box of doughnuts and call up Yadiel. He or Gerardo Parra could play center field in an emergency or to give Robles an occasional day off.
Chuck Taylor has been en fuego lately, and while it’s way too early for me to project him as a major league-caliber player, there’s no denying he’s toolsy and it’d be interesting to see what kind of numbers he’d put up in Triple-A if Yadiel were to get the nod.
If not for Adams and now Parra Yadiel should already be on the roster. He did something to irritate Randy Knorr and Matt LeCroy when he was there? Lack of hustle in the field? His bat has always conveyed extremely well?
The ‘Curse of the GBI’ lives, at least in Harrisburg.
Free Yadiel!
I think Yadiel Hernandez like Soto should be tried at first base.
This week in GBI history…. may 30, 2014.
