Catching Up on Transactions

Earlier this afternoon, the Nationals announced the recall of James Bourque (pronounced “Burke,” FP) as part of a series of transactions, which are not complete as of this writing:

FRESNO
• OF Andrew Stevenson MLB rehab ended, recalled to then optioned from Washington
• RHP Joe Ross optioned from Washington
• RHP George Kontos purchased from L.I. Ducks (Atlantic League), placed on reserve list

HARRISBURG
• RHP James Bourque recalled to Washington
• RHP Bryan Bonnell reassigned from Potomac
• IF Chris Dominguez released
• OF-1B José Marmolejos reassigned from Fresno
• RHP Mario Sanchez reassigned from Fresno

POTOMAC
• LHP Andrew Istler removed from witness protection assigned from XST
• RHP Jorge Pantoja assigned from XST
• LHP Grant Borne placed on the 7-day I.L.

While the Senators and P-Nats rosters are at the limit of 25, the Grizzlies are at 27, which means more moves are coming soon, as noted by Fresno PR.

  1. A big wow on a couple of these. Hustler, who was a AA/AAA Pitcher is now at Potomac. Smells like injury rehab.
    Pantone, who Todd had figured as a secret release has now magically reappeared.

    1. Witness Protection is a fancy clerical name for XST list but not playing in back fields of WPB?
      Let’s cross our fingers there are some good NCAA arms hauled next month in amateur draft because Indy league arms are such a reach
