Romero promoted! Oh, wait, . . . Has there been any news on the much more highly priced Romero? At least the 2d-round pick for last year has progressed well. Crowe isn’t dominating, but he’s made AA in a year and is holding his own.

McGowin and Austen Williams have had fantastic seasons. I’m not sure why Williams isn’t a part of the conversation for bullpen fixes with the big club now. Yes, I know he isn’t on the 40-man, but it wouldn’t be hard to point to a few guys who could be DFA’d. It’s a somewhat miraculous story, as Williams’s career really was on life support a year ago.

With McGowin, it would be pretty amazing if the Nats end up with a big-league starter from the Danny the K deal.

Is Grissom also in witness protection too? Lol

It’s got to be a Hagerstown starter to replace Romero, right? Hagerstown’s bullpen has been almost unanimously poor. Meanwhile, Jackson Tetreault and Andrew Lee have been very, very good recently.

In other news, what the heck is wrong with Alex Troop? He hasn’t pitched since April.

And are we sure Seth Romero is hurt, and didn’t have another behavior relapse? He’s also been absent for almost a month and a half.

By the way, I’m still having issues with seeing comments in “real time”. They usually re-appear a couple hours after being posted. Just FYI.

      Jackson T and Hill.
Maybe we are both Crownover and Raquet slid to pen?
Maybe hags get Fletcher for rotation and turn to Carlos Pena for some starts ( gulp!)

Ok Chelsea says Seth Romero to be activated. There is one arm for Anderson. Carlos Pena seems comfy as a reliever. Fletcher deserves a promotion. Either Peugero or replace a Jackson with a familiar Jackson – Stoekinger . Troop in witness protection , Luke??

Luke. I viewed a double rainbow
Last night with no leprochan leading to a pot of gold but I still think heaven likes Red October with Nat red vs philly phunny red.
Can we read into Malvin Pena as a physical reaction to new work load territory for his arm and body / ceiling hit?
Can you imagine if McMills ends up pitching in all FIVE NLEast orgs?? Kendrick and Bour not shabby trades to tell your grand babies about .
Liking German effort in Hags .
Pascal and Meregildo too without the HRs.
Anybody have a short list for Sept 1st callups ??
Auburn / NYPenn all star break.
Hags roster full enough or some changes for Anderson/ Redding ??
Milone hasn’t been too shabby in SS absense.
We have to wait for SS return to see how the V6 engine runs 100 pct on mound.
Madsen back ached when he coughed up GS in Wrigley Sunday ??

This morning the Nats’ beat reporter, Chelsea Janes, said that the Nats are about activate Romero.

Good Will Hunting : I say slide Raquet to bullpen and slide up Lee from Hags. Corresponding move for Hags ? Aaron Fletcher??

    1. Jeff says:

Keep it simple the slogan goes. Bingham Hill was the obvious choice to bump up to Potomac after Johnston
Especially after he and Sharp tossed BP to Harper early in season .
Still say Aaron Fletcher soon after Auburn star break for Hags.

No official announcement, but Gott and Collins promoted to MLB. Appears Madson is headed to the DL and Solis back to Cuse (but not sure how the Nats are clearing a roster spot for Collins as DFA’d him in July and then re-signed him; possible that Solis is DFA’d, but more likely Matt Reynolds). Also, not sure if Solis has options left.

    1. Luke Erickson says:
      August 14, 2018 at 6:39 pm

Yes, Solis does. They pushed Fedde to the 60-day.

Hill and Tetreault to Potomac but no releases (yet).

Let’s say the curtain is closed
On the season right now. Hypothetically how does this bullpen get re- tinkered ?
Does Holland return ? late season further auditions / re- auditions for the former angels , Gott and Adams ?
Does Trevor Rosenthal become another Boras client to step into WPB next February ? Is Koda Glover health going to return to pre – injury days ?
Bob Miller upstairs is sure going to be busy moving numbers around in the balance sheet. Magic man Miller.
The Fedde placement on 60 day DL just must be a technical move with all the bodies in flux .
