A six-run 7th broke a 1-1 deadlock as the G-Nats beat the G-Cards, 8-3 for just their second win in eight meetings this season.
Nice starting pitching performances all around, except for some struggles by Cate. McGowin’s step up to AAA is particularly encouraging. Any word on why Raquet lasted only 2.2 IP?
I read that he was struck by a line drive. No other details.
Once again, McGowin pitches great and gets no run support. I think McGowin’s stay in AAA may depend on the Strasburg/Milone situation in DC.

So you’re saying it’s another…. tequila sunrise? Did you… take it to the limit? I guess that’s what you get for living… life in the fast late. That said, I admire your dedication. Or is it an addiction. Just like this blog, you can check out any time… but you can *never* leave. At the end of the day, it’s all just wasted time.
OK, I’ll stop now. Hope the concert was fun. Take it easy.
Encouraging foretaste of things to come with Schiller and Irwin in GCL
Pitching conga line
Canning coming on some .
Anybody have any psychic ability on who might be trade partners with Rizzo besides maybe the usual Oakland and KC cell phone speed dial guys??
Oakland is in the mix for a playoff spot; they have been the best team in MLB for almost two months. If Rizzo is communicating with the A’s at this point, the Nats are sellers.
Good to see Anderson Franco
Back on the field.
Very cool today. Bryan Pena in a duel with DSL Mets. Hmmm
6 foot 1 175 pound lefty. Hmm.
Out of the box question. Can one project all the triples hit in DSL by young kids as HR near misses due to their young frail muscles
and under advanced wrist / hand
Techniques ?
Very interesting today in GCL where Lisson has Jacob Wilson catching and our favorite name @ 2b- Onix Vega. Typo, Luke ?
Anything’s possible, but as a point of reference, the Bowie BaySox roster has been above 25 active players since the Machado trade — as many as 29, now down to 28.
Highlight of the night was to see Kyle McGowin put up the zeroes.
These days I’m watching Glover closely. If he can break through it makes a sell off more painless.
I know the Nats are winning but they definitely have surplus assets
Gil I thought about that this morning too. Brass still needs to figure out what they have in Gott & A. Adams
. Again this Sam Held being stretched out beyond an inning or two relief
Into a game 2 DH starter is interesting
Interesting to see Irving Falu play both ends of DH hitting in 3 hole .
.295 10 SB. A few HRs. Some doubles.
Hmmmmm
Robles back in Syracuse.
