The Keys locked up the P-Nats with a pair of two-run rallies for a 4-2 win, ending Potomac’s modest four-game win streak. Luis Reyes lost his league-leading 12th game with all four Frederick runs allowed (two earned) on six hits and two walks with four K’s over six and a 1/3rd innings. Tommy Peterson stranded two in the 7th and pitched a clean 8th to keep things close. The P-Nats bats were limited to five hits, with Daniel Johnson and Rhett Wiseman connecting for both extra-base hits (doubles), and drew five walks. Roster moves: RHP Nolan Sanburn released; RHP Kyle McGowin reassigned from Harrisburg; SS Tyler Beckwith promoted from Hagerstown; RHP Austen Williams placed on the 7-Day DL.

Hagerstown extended its win streak to five games with a 7-0 blanking of West Virginia. Matt DeRosier tossed seven scoreless frames with just two hits allowed, no walks, and six whiffs. Sam Held preserved the shutout bid with two more goose eggs, giving up a hit and a walk. Angelo La Bruna led the Suns’ hit column with three singles while Nick Bank reached base three times with a single and two walks and Oliver Ortiz smacked a three-run HR in the 5th.

The Doubledays dropped their third straight with a 4-3 loss to the Spinners. Wil Crowe got the start but was loomed for three runs on five hits and a walk over three innings. Jared Johnson took the loss with the fourth run let in on three hits and a walk in two innings. Carter Kieboom singled, doubled, walked, and a stole base to lead the Auburn offense.

In the opening game, the G-Mets missed an extra point and gave up a field goal and a safety late in a 13-5 demolition of the G-Nats. Malvin Pena took the loss, giving up nine runs on eight hits, including a grand slam, over four and a 1/3rd innings. Jose Sanchez went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the G-Nats attack.

In the “after-cap,” the G-Mets pitchers tossed a one-hit shutout to complete the doubleheader sweep. Jhonatan German lost his third game while giving up both G-Mets runs on two hits and four walks over four and 1/3rd innings. Sean Adler finished with an inning and 2/3rds scoreless with one walk and three whiffs. Ricardo Mendez connected for the lone G-Nats hit with a single in the 3rd.
