Harrisburg – ALL-STAR BREAK
The Senators lost the last four games going into the all-star break to sink past the Flying Squirrels into last place in the E.L. West. Harrisburg has won just once in July and hasn’t won back-to-back games since June 24-25. The Sens, Squirrels, and Fisher Cats are each in the running for the worst record in AA.

Potomac couldn’t hold a 3-2 lead in the middle innings as Wlmington took the game, 7-3, and the series, 3-1. Taylor Guilbeau was charged with the first four runs, all earned, on seven hits and three walks for the loss, his second. Francisco Rodriguez walked two and gave up a hit while letting in three unearned runs to put the game away in the 9th. Austin Davidson went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Taylor Gushue homered to lead the Potomac offense. Roster moves: IF Dan Gamache placed on the 3-Day TIL; RHP Francisco Rodriguez reassigned from Harrisburg.

The Suns finally won in Kannapolis as they held off a late charge for an 8-5 win in the series finale. McKenzie Mills pitched into the 7th for the fourth time in last six starts but was charged with all five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out 10 (again) as he won his 11th game. Kyle Simonds let in all three runs he inherited but pitched a scoreless 8th, as did Phil Morse in the 9th for the save. Anderson Franco homered twice and drove in six total to power the Hagerstown attack.

Auburn – OFF DAY
Auburn returns home after its second scheduled off day for three against Aberdeen before hitting the road for Vermont this weekend.

The G-Nats smacked three homers and obliterated the G-Astros, 9-1. Jesus Luzardo notched his first “W” with five innings of one-run ball on four hits, no walks, and three K’s. Jose De Los Santos and Gilberto Chu both turned in two scoreless innings to close it out. Jose Sanchez singled, walked, and homered while driving in three. Jamori Blash and Alex Dunlap also went deep. It was the first HR for all three players. Roster moves: IF Adalberto Carillo assigned from Washington (33rd Rd. pick, USC).
