Harrisburg bounded back from a 2-0 deficit to take a 4-2 lead, but had no answer for Binghamton’s last salvo in the 7th and lost, 6-4. John Simms labored through six innings (111 pitches), giving up three runs on five eight hits and five walks while striking out seven. The loss went to Brady Dragmire, who let in three runs on three hits in the Rumble Ponies’ 7th. Raudy Read, Drew Ward, and Corban Joseph each had two hits in the Senators’ 11-hit parade.

Two Buies Creek pitchers combined on three-hit shutout for a 6-0 win over Potomac and complete the four-game sweep. Hector Silvestre got taken deep twice and stung for three runs on four hits over five innings for the loss. He walked one and fanned seven. Victor Robles remained upright and singled twice while Ian Sagdal singled once to round out the P-Nats hit tally.

McKenzie Mills struck out a career-high 10 batters while winning his 10th game as the Suns doubled up the Blue Claws, 6-3. Mills gave up two runs on three hits and two walks over five-plus innings. Kyle Simonds gave up one over two innings, while Phil Morse and Tommy Peterson each put up a goose egg to earn the hold and save, respectively. Blake Perkins was the beer man in Hagerstown’s 14-hit assault, led by Jake Noll with three hits and three RBI.

Mahoning Valley broke up the Star Trek convention on the Falcon Park scoreboard with two runs in the top of the 15th to send Auburn to its seventh straight loss. Matt DeRosier threw six scoreless innings in his seventh career start for Auburn since 2013. The loss went to Michael Rishwain, who let in both Scrappers runs on five hits over three innings. Paul Panaccione and Branden Bogetto combined for four of the eight Doubledays hits. The G-Nats got six runs in the first two innings and held off the G-Marlins late for a 10-7 win. Starter Jose Morales tossed three scoreless innings with one hit and three whiffs. J.D. Martin was the least ineffective reliever and was credited with the win. Ricardo Mendez reached base five times with two walks, two singles, and a triple while scoring once and driving in two, followed by Yasel Antuna’s 3-for-5 effort to pace the G-Nats offense.
