Soto lives! Man, he and Kieboom have both lost about half a season after terrific starts.
Meanwhile, what to make of Fedde’s meltdown? Goodness. So much for him as an option if Roark continues to struggle. The more Fedde struggles, the more an EJax call-up before him becomes a possibility.
And a truckload of new college arms arrives at Auburn. It will be interesting to see how this bunch shakes out, as the Nats sure drafted a lot of them this year. Alas, Crowe has yet to surface, and Romero has yet to sign. (WaPo indicated yesterday that the Nats aren’t expecting Montes de Oca the Killer Whale to sign.)
Oh, and Happy 4th to all!
I’ve been saying for a while we shouldn’t be jerking around our best pitching prospect, especially when we’re critically low on pitching depth. If they were trying to stretch him out until September, then why didn’t we start with him in relief starting in Spring Training? Or just send him to XST for a month or two like we’ve done with countless other pitchers in the past?
It reeks of a desperation move once Ross started looking shaky and now we might have done some damage to Fedde. I hope it’s not irreversible.
This was Fedde ‘s first real bump toeing in Cuse .
Interesting the swap of College kids to auburn as Latin kids go to GCL.
One has to really like Gil Chu the lefty.
Wow weak bullpen. Smack down on Mets. 50 wins in division that should be fierce in a year or two .
I am seeing Ryan Madsen name swirling in my second cup of Brazilian coffee down south here.
Yup I am with the CIA. Lol!
Fausto Segura. DR righty.
