Well, thank goodness for the big club and the GCL one. . . . Jeez, what an ugly set of results.

Sorry to see Weston Davis struggle so much in his return to A-ball. Looks like another strong effort from Hayden Howard following him, though. Howard’s ERA over his last 10 games, covering 26.1 innings, is 1.37.

I also like what the very late picks Klobosits (36th round) and Engelbrekt (40th round) are doing at Auburn. Klobosits is listed as a mere 6-7, 270. Engelbrekt had something like an 0.43 ERA for top-ranked Oregon State this season. What little I saw on him indicated that he barely touches 90 but is all arms and legs in his delivery, so it is difficult for hitters to pick up the ball from his motion.

On the down side, not good news to see that they’ve essentially shelved Ryan Williamson for the rest of the season. He had his TJ in the spring of 2016, around the same time Luzardo did.

Luzardo, by the way, is said to already be hitting the mid-90s. I fear that a lot of teams are going to be asking about him at the trade deadline.

Where did you read/hear he was hitting mid-90s? Is he sitting there or just touching 94/95? Thanks.
