After Matt Crownover corralled the Rumble Ponies for six scoreless innings, they bucked Andrew Robinson for a triple and a sacrifice fly in the 7th to saddle him and the Senators with a 1-0 loss. Crownover gave up just four hits and a walk while striking out six for the no-decision. Drew Ward (single, double) and Mario Lisson (single, walk) were the only two batters to reach base twice as Harrisburg was held to just six hits and two walks.

Binghamton rallied for two in the 6th, scoring what proved to be the winning run on a two-out error to take the game from Harrisburg, 3-2 and sweep the doubleheader. Wirkin “For the Weekend” Estevez started and went the first five. He let in one run on four hits and four walks over five innings for the no-decision. The loss went to Jimmy Cordero who walked one, balked one, and gave up two runs – one inherited, one of his own for the loss. Corban Joseph, Jake Lowery, and Jose “Orange” Marmolejos each went 2-for-3 to pace the Sens’ offense.

Buies Creek edged Potomac in another brisk (2:17) one-run game, 3-2. Grant Borne walked five and gave up two runs on five hits over four innings while setting down four on strikes. The loss went to Kyle Schepel, who let in the decisive run on two hits over two innings. He walked none and struck out three. Dan Gamache singled twice and homered to lead the P-Nats six-hit, three-walk offense.

Ranger Suarez outdueled Sterling Sharp as the BlueClaws took another one from the Suns, 2-0. Sharp turned in seven innings of one-run ball on six hits and a walk while fanning six and walking one but took the loss, his sixth. Hagerstown was held to four hits and one walk; nobody reached base twice.

One bad inning for Tomas Alastre was more than enough for Mahoning Valley in the opener, as they shut out the Doubledays, 3-0. Alastre allowed all three Scrappers runs in his fourth and final inning of work, giving up five hits and three walks while striking out three. Chance Shepard doubled while Randy Encarnacion and Olver Ortiz both singled once to account for the three Auburn hits.

The Scrappers scored all three runs in the final two innings to complete the doubleheader sweep with a 3-2 win over the Doubledays. Weston Davis got the start and tossed five scoreless innings of two-hit ball with nary a walk and three whiffs. Jonny Reid blews the save with two runs coughed up in the 6th while Angel Guillen took the loss with one run allowed in the 7th. Paul Panaccione doubled, tripled, scored a run, and drove in run while Armond Upshaw walked and tripled to lead the Auburn attack. The win went to Jose De Los Santos with two scoreless innings after Baez. Jackson Cramer doubl while Ricardo Mendez and Israel Pineda both singled to account for the three (3) G-Nats hits.
