After a scoreless inning apiece from Dustin Antolin, Trevor Gott, and Joe Nathan, Mike Broadway lost the game in the top of the 10th with a run on two hits. The Flying Squirrels built a 7-0 lead early and held off a late charge by the Senators to take the series opener, 10-7. Austen Williams was strafed for ten hits and gave up the aforementioned seven runs (four earned) over three innings. He walked none and struck out five but lost his fifth game. Jose “Orange” Marmolejos and Neftali Soto both reached base three times with a walk and an RBI to pace the Harrisburg comeback effort. The Suns made the Blue Claws pay for an error and a hit batsman in a four-run 1st that stood up for a 4-3 win. Sterling Sharp was dinged for three runs in the first two innings but made it through six to get the win. Steven Fuentes (2IP) and Tommy Peterson (1IP) combined for three scoreless innings for the hold and the save, respectively. Anderson Franco’s two-run HR capped off the Hagerstown rally while Jake Noll was the sole Suns batter to reach base twice.
