The Syracuse bats came alive with a baker’s dozen of hits and no beer man in a 9-4 pummeling of Norfolk. Taylor Hill kept the ball in the yard for the first time in three starts, allowing just two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one (1) as both he and the Chiefs evened up their won-loss records at 1-1 and 7-7, respectively. Caleb Ramsey singled once, doubled twice, scored a run, and knocked in two while Clint Robinson also reached base three times with two singles and a walk to lead the Syracuse offense.

The Senators got two in the 1st and one in the 2nd and strong pitching to make it stand up for a 3-1 win over the BaySox. Mark Blackmar won for the second time with a run on six hits over five innings, no walks, and two whiffs. Derek Self and Wander Suero both turned in two scoreless to earn the hold and save respectively. Zach Collier homered for the sole extra base hit for Harrisburg, which managed just six hits total
Lynchburg vs. Potomac – PPD
Rain claimed Game Three of the four-game series between Potomac and Lynchburg. They play just the one game today. No makeup date has been announced for yesterday’s postponement. The two teams play each other three more times in the first half, with two four-game series (Potomac, Lynchburg) next month and a three-game series in June (Potomac.
Hagerstown vs. Delmarva – PPD
Likewise, the game between the Shorebirds and the Suns was washed away. They will try to play two today, though the two teams play two more series in the first half.
