The Senators put up four in the 1st, survived a scare in the 6th, and rallied in the 7th and 8th innings to double up the B-Mets, 8-4. Tyler Mapes won for the 11th time with all four Binghamton runs on 10 hits and a walk over six innings. Wander Suero tossed two scoreless and Andrew Robinson pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to close out the game. Jose “Orange” Marmolejos smacked his first AA longball and went 2-for-3 as did Isaac Ballou, who drove in two and walked twice to lead the Harrisburg offense.

Potomac went double-single-homer-walk-double-triple to open the 9th to turn a 6-5 game into a 12-6 smackdown of Frederick. Austen Williams got the Jack Morris win with five runs allowed on 10 hits and two walks over six-plus innings while fanning one. R.C. Orlan, who let in one of Williams’s runs, earned his seventh hold pitching the rest of the 7th and a scoreless 8th. Max “For Those About To” Schrock and Drew Vettleson both went deep, combining for five RBI while Schrock and Alec Keller led the hit column with three apiece as the P-Nats pounded out 17 hits total on the night.

Ian Sagdal’s two-run HR capped a three-run 6th as Hagerstown took a 2-1 series lead with a 3-2 win over Asheville. James Bourque got the start and was charged with both Tourist runs on six hits and no walks as he set down five on strikes. The 59-minute rain delay ended his night after four and 2/3rds innings. Robbie Dickey got the win as he stranded two while getting the last out of the 5th and pitched two more scoreless innings. The save went to Mariano Rivera III with two more goose eggs. Sagdal and Grant DeBruin both went 2-for-3 to lead the Suns attack.

The score was still 0-0 when the rain halted play after three innings in Auburn. They’ll pick it up today at noon and complete it, followed by a seven-inning game for a de facto doubleheader.
GCL Update
Despite a 3-2 week, the G-Nats have drifted to 3½ games behind the G-Cards in the GCL East. The tragic number is 12 with two and half weeks left to play.
DSL Update
The D-Nats took a tailspin last week with five straight losses before winning yesterday, 3-2 over the D-Brewers. For those obsessed with large sums of money thrown at teenagers, $700K and 17-y.o. Elvis Alvarado was transferred from the DSL Roster to the GCL Roster last Tuesday but has yet to play professionally.
