Brian Goodwin homered with one out in the 1st to give the Chiefs an early 1-0 lead. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre answered back with five runs as they easily defeated Syracuse, 5-1. Paolo Espino saved the bullpen with seven innings, giving up four runs on eight hits and no walks while fanning nine, but lost for the 10th time. The Chiefs managed just five hits total and drew one walk while striking out 13 times.

Harrisburg put up four in the 3rd and never looked back as they left Trenton, um, thunderstruck with a 5-0 shutout. Mark Blackmar won for the third time with seven strong innings, allowing all six Thunder hits and a walk while fanning four. Justin DeFratus closed it out with two scoreless innings. The Senators made the most of their six hits, which included doubles from Drew Ward and Stephen Perez, and a two-run triple from Andrew Stevenson. Roster moves: RHP Jaron Long placed on the 7-Day DL; 1B Shawn Pleffner activated from the 7-Day DL.

Jorge Pantoja won his 9th game in relief, stranding two in the 6th and laying two goose eggs on the scoreboard. Mariano Rivera III wobbled through the 9th with a run let in on two hits and a walk to get credit for his seventh save. Edwin Lora doubled twice and drove in two to lead the Hagerstown offense.

Blake Perkins, Nick Banks, Luis Vilorio, and Paul Panaccione each had two hits as the Doubledays took advantage of five Spikes errors to score nine times on nine hits and four walks.
