Gwinnett 3 Syracuse 2
• Hill 7IP, 5H, R, ER, BB, 3K, HR, HBP
• E. Davis (BS, 3; L, 6-4) 1IP, 2H, 2R, 2ER, BB, K
• Goodwin 1-3, BB, SB
• den Dekker 2-3, R, BB, SB

Taylor Hill once again tossed seven innings of one-run (on a HR, natch) ball for a no-decision as the Syracuse offense couldn’t overcome the bullpen in a 3-2 loss to Gwinnett in the series finale. Hill gave up five hits total and walked one while striking out three. After a scoreless 8th from Matt Grace on an exhausting eight pitches, Erik Davis let in the winning runs in the 9th on a walk and two hits for his fourth loss and third blown save. Matt Skole homered and Matt den Dekker came in on sac fly from Jhonatan Solano in the 4th. The Chiefs were otherwise limited to six hits and four walks and went 0-for-6 with RISP. Roster moves: RHP Koda Glover added to Washington 40-man roster; RHP Reynaldo Lopez optioned from Washington.

Erie 8 Harrisburg 2
• Brady (L, 2-4) 6IP, 7H, 4R, 4ER, 2BB, 10K
• Stevenson 1-3, R, BB, SB, RBI
• Perez 0-1, R, 2BB, SB

The Seawolves pounded out a baker’s dozen of hits and scored in four of eight “ups” in an 8-2 win over the Sens, halting Harrisburg’s five-game win streak. Michael Brady struck out a career-best 10 batters but was otherwise mediocre as he gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings to lose for the fourth time. Ryan Brinley was lit up again, giving up four runs over the final two innings, including the fifth HR in six AA appearances. Harrisburg managed to score twice on four singles and five walks with the help of three stolen bases. Andrew Stevenson and Steven Perez scored both runs and were the only two batters to score reach base twice. Roster moves: LHP Nick Lee designated for assignment; no corresponding moves yet, though RHP Boone Whiting will be eligible to come off the DL tomorrow.

Potomac – OFF DAY
Potomac returns to Woodbridge after a 3-4 road trip during which Lynchburg has gotten hot and taken over first place with six straight wins. The P-Nats rematch against the Salems for eight games over the next seven days beginning tonight with a five-game series against the Dash. Roster moves: RHP Dakota Bacus assigned to the GCL for MiLB rehab.

Hagerstown 4 Columbia 2
• Guilbeau (W, 2-1) 5IP, 5H, R, ER, 2BB, 3K
• Borne (H, 2) 3IP, 3H, 1R, 0ER, 0BB, 1K
• Sagdal 3-4, R, 2B, BB, RBI
• Page 3-4, 2B, RBI

The Suns zapped the Fireflies by a 4-2 score to win their seventh straight and stay a half game ahead of the Grasshoppers. Taylor Guilbeau got the win with one run allowed on five hits and two walks over five innings. Grant Borne allowed an unearned run over the next three for the hold while Philip Walby worked around a single in the 9th for the save. Ian Sagdal and Matthew Page both went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead Hagerstown’s 11-hit parade, though coupled with five walks, the Suns did leave on 12 baserunners.

Auburn – OFF DAY
Auburn returns home for a single, three-game series against West Virginia before heading to New York on Sunday for three against Staten Island.
