Back-to-back three spots in the 6th and 7th innings by the Bison erased an early 3-0 Chiefs lead as Buffalo held on for a 7-5 win over Syracuse. Paolo Espino gave up the first three runs on five hits and a walk over five and 2/3rds innings for the no-decision. Erik Davis walked four of six batters faced and was charged withe the loss when Nick Masset let in both of his inherited runners in the 7th. Scott Sizemore and Matt Skole both doubled and homered and drove in two to pace the Chiefs’ offense. Roster move: SS Trea Turner recalled to Washington.

The P-Nats scored three times in the 2nd to take a 3-2 lead and then got smashed like a sailor on shore leave as the Keys scored 13 unanswered runs to take the series finale, 15-3. Wirkin “For The Weekend” Estevez, lost for third time in five starts with seven runs allowed (two earned) on five hits (two HR) and two walks with three strikeouts. Raudy Read went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base (yes, really) while Bryan Mejia singled twice, scored a run, and drove in a run to lead the Potomac offense. Both committed an error, along with two by Osvaldo Abreu to lead to nine unearned runs by Frederick.

Pedro Avila won for the fourth time with five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one. Victor Robles returned to the lineup to walk, single, score twice, and swipe two bags and set the tone for the Suns offense, which saw every batter get a hit and eleven total.
