A five-run 2nd capped off by two-run Trea Turner homerun sealed the deal early as the Chiefs took the series finale, 6-1 from the PawSox. Perhaps confused by the big lead, Austin Voth locked in and held Pawtucket to one run on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four while winning his fourth game. Matt den Dekker singled and doubled to lead the Syracuse offense, which maximized its efforts with six runs on five hits and four walks.

Harrisburg scored in three of the first four innings to build a 4-0 lead and held on for 5-2 win over Portland. Phillips Valdez got his first AA win with a run (HR) allowed on hour hits and a walk while fanning three over five innings. Andrew Robinson turned in three innings of one-run relief to earn the hold while Abel De Los Santos pitched another scoreless 9th to get his second save in as many nights. Rafael Bautista singled twice while Wilmer Difo doubled twice and singled once to pace the Sens’ nine-hit, four-walk attack.

Three Doubledays pitchers combined on a six-hit, 13K shutout of the Ironbirds for a 4-0 win. Tyler Watson pitched five scoreless innings with three hits, two walks, and five K’s to earn his first win. Francys Peguero tossed three scoreless with five whiffs to get the hold while Angher Cespedes struck out the side on 19 pitches in the 9th to close out the game. Blake Perkins went 4-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored followed by David Kerian with a walk and a single to lead the Auburn offense. Roster moves: OF Nick Banks (4th Rd. Pick ’16) assigned from Washington.
