Matt Skole doubled, homered and drove in three while five Syracuse pitchers combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Chiefs took their third straight, 5-0. Austin Voth went the first five with three hits and three walks allowed while striking out five to win his first of 2016. Abel De Los Santos and Nick Masset both worked around a pair of hits in a single inning to earn a hold while Trevor Gott issued one walk and fanned two over the final two (hitless) frames. Scott Sizemore led the hit column with a 3-for-5 game, scoring twice and plating one.

The Senators came up one vot..er, run short again as the were edged again by the BaySox, 3-2. Austen Williams rebounded from back-to-back poundings to toss five and 2/3rds innings of two-run ball, giving up six hits and four walks while striking out six, but lost for the fourth time. Down 3-1 in the 9th, Chris Bostick doubled and scored on a Neftali Soto single to left that turned into a Little-League two-bagger with an error. Soto would be stranded as a flyball and two whiffs ended the Harrisburg threat. Bostick and Bautista both went 2-for-4 to pace the Harrisburg offense. Koda Glover hit 99mph on the stadium gun while 86’ing two batters in his AA debut.

Potomac 3 Wilmington 2 – 12 inn.

It was stoppable force meeting a moveable object but Wilmington’s third error of the night finally ended the stalemate to give Potomac a 3-2 victory in 12 innings. Phillips Valdez turned in seven strong innings, with one run given up on five hits and no walks and four strikeouts, and 13 outs on ground balls. The win went to Ryan Brinley with two perfect innings of relief and three strikeouts. Tablesetters Andrew Stevenson and Osvaldo Abreu scored all three runs and combined for five hits and two walks to pace the P-Nats attack, which struggled in the clutch with a 1-for-10 mark with runners in scoring position and left on 13 baserunners.

Jeff Gardner drove in four of the five Hagerstown runs with a solo shot in the 3rd and an Earl Weaver special in the 6th as the Suns beat the Braves again, 5-1. Pedro Avila won his first with five shutout innings, with two walks and four hits allowed while setting down five by way of the K. Taylor Guilbeau followed with three scoreless to earn the hold, his third. Hagerstown struck out 10 times but walked eight times, with Max Schrock collecting four, and Matt Page drawing three.
