Rain washed away the finale of the Chiefs-RedWings series on Sunday. They’ll make it up with a doubleheader on Thursday, June 30th at 6:05 p.m. Roster move: OF Matt den Dekker optioned from Washington.

Harrisburg committed a week’s worth an errors in one game and lost again, 5-1 to Akron. Austen Williams lost for the fifth time, letting in four unearned runs on eight hits, a walk, and a hit batsman over six innings. Gilberto Mendez finished with a one run allowed on a home run. The Sens offense was mostly in recess, collecting just four hits and five walks with Rafael Bautista and Christopher Bostick both reaching base twice.

Potomac broke a three-game losing streak while missing an extra point in a 13-6 win over Winston-Salem. Erick Fedde got the Jack Morris win with five runs given up on seven hits and a walk over five innings while striking out two. Mario Sanchez closed out the game for the four-inning save, walking three and giving up four hits but only allowing one run. Drew Ward reached base six times with a single, two doubles, and three walks, followed by Alec Keller and Khayyan Norfork who both reach based four times and drove in three runs as the P-Nats assaulted Dash pitchers for 16 hits and took 12 walks.

Matt Page’s RBI single in the 9th completed a comeback from a 5-2 deficit as the Suns walked off for a 6-5 win over the Intimidators. Matt DeRosier got the start but was ineffective, walking four and giving up four runs on six hits over four and a 1/3rd innings. The win went to Luis Torres for two perfect innings of relief in the 8th and 9th innings. Max “For Those About To” Schrock doubled, homered, and scored twice to lead the Hagerstown offense, which scored six times on just seven hits with a little help from six walks, a balk, and a Kannapolis error.
