Matt DeRosier got the start but was ineffective, walking four and giving up four runs on six hits over four and a 1/3rd innings. The win went to Luis Torres for two perfect innings of relief in the 8th and 9th innings. Max “For Those About To” Schrock doubled, homered, and scored twice to lead the Hagerstown offense, which scored six times on just seven hits with a little help from six walks, a balk, and a Kannapolis error.
Special shout out to Bryan Mejia for doubling his season’s walk total last night!
Wow, Harrisburg gave up EIGHT unearned runs over two games. Tighten it up, guys!
Robles still MIA. Anyone have any news on him?
Fedde gets his second win, but his ERA is at 6.62 and WHIP at 1.44. After an impressive run of Ks earlier in the season, those have petered out. It’s not panic time yet, but any enthusiasm has to be tempered. He’ll be in Woodbridge for the foreseeable future.
Can anyone say, “Ross Detwiler?” Because Fedde’s stats are not even as good as the last former 1st rounder who stalled in Woodbridge for an entire year.
My guy out there is on vacation, so no.
Chelsea Janes didn’t mention an injury to Robles in her minor-league roundup posted this afternoon, so it’s nothing that has come to the attention of the DC beat reporters.
Now hearing it was a sore wrist, but he may play tonight.
He is in tonight.
Crisis averted. As you were…
Also, it’s great to see Ward rebound from his golden sombrero 2 days ago with a 6 for 6 on base night last night.
Great to see all that offense from the Potomac and Hagerstown lineups. Too bad some of these hitters aren’t closer to MLB ready because the Nats could sure use a bat or three.
On a odd note, my wife was having dinner with one of her equestrian friends at the Old Brougue in Great Falls last night and noticed Ryan Zimmerman and family sitting at a nearby table. She and her friend talked with them for about ten minutes and they couldn’t have been nicer. The wife even got her picture taken with him. Very cool. 🙂
