Syracuse dug out of an early 2-0 lead with a pair of crooked numbers in the 3rd and 4th innings and cruised to an 8-4 win over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Starter A.J. Cole lasted just two innings, pulled after 61 pitches with just 34 going for strikes as he was knocked for single runs in both frames on four hits and three walks while striking out two. Aaron Laffey led a quartet of relievers who held the RailRiders to two runs the rest of the way. Trea Turner was a triple shy of the cycle as he went 3-for-4 with 3RBI along with a walk and a stolen base to lead the Chiefs offense.

Spencer Kieboom’s 8th-inning leadoff homer broke up the shutout but the Senators were otherwise on recess on offense as the Fightins knocked ’em out, 3-1. Reynaldo Lopez took the loss, giving up two runs on two solo HRs and four hits total over six innings. He walked one and fanned five. Cutter Dykstra was the only Harrisburg batter to reach base twice (single, walk) as the Reading pitchers limited them to five hits and two walks total.

Hagerstown took its sixth straight as they doubled up Delmarva, 8-4. Starter Joan Baez allowed all four Shorebirds runs on five hits and three walks as he labored through three innings on 75 pitches. Newcomer Jorge Pantoja got the win with three scoreless innings of relief while Tommy Peterson finished the game with three perfect frames for the save. Ian Sagdal singled, tripled, and scored three runs while Matthew Page drove in four while going 2-for-5 to pace the Suns offense.
