The Chiefs racked up 12 hits but could only drive in one as they fell to the RailRiders, 2-1 in the series finale. Taylor Hill started and let in one unearned run on three hits over six innings for a no-decision. The loss went to Trevor Gott as he gave up the gamewinner in the 8th on a hit and two walks. Brian Goodwin, Caleb Ramsey, and Tony Campana each had three hits with Goodwin scoring the lone run after a leadoff triple followed by a Pedro Severino double in the 7th.

Reading scored in three of four innings against Nats uberprospect Lucas Giolito as they destroyed Harrisburg, 14-2. Giolito gave up five runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk over three and 2/3rds innings. He was lifted after 76 pitches thrown, with 55 going for strikes. Tablesetters Rafael Bautista and Wilmer Difo combined for five hits and drove in both runs while the other seven batters went 1-for-24 with a walk and eight strikeouts.

The organizatonal sweep was made complete when the Suns’ rally in the 9th fell short, 4-3. Starter Matt DeRosier struck out seven over five innings of one-run ball, allowing just three hits and no walks. Luis Torres was less effective, strafed for three runs on four hits over three innings to suffer the loss. Victor Robles singled three times, including a two-run hit in the 9th with two outs to cut the Delmarva lead to one, while Cody Dent singled twice to lead the Hagerstown offense.
