AFL Update: Oct. 16, 2015
Christopher Bostick homered twice and drove in four as the Salt River Rafters outslugged the Peoria Javelinas, 9-7.
Bostick also singled to go 3-for-4 on the afternoon with two runs scored. He batted ninth and played second base, taking part in two double plays.
The outburst helped make a winnier out of John Simms, who let in a run on three hits and a walk over three innings. Simms struck out two and threw 45 pitches, 25 for strikes.
The two teams rematch tonight in Salt River, which will also host a glorified HR derby the Bowman Hitting Challenge tomorrow night.
Wow, two HRs from Bostick, to go with 12 during the regular season at lower altitudes. That’s very promising power development from a middle infielder at age 22.
Rizzo does love him some middle infielders, especially those with pop!
Agreed. Very good to read, definitely taking advantage of his opportunity.
Are we not surprised that Rizzo acquired Bostick
Originally yet another Oakland draft and develop ?
Since the Nats handed Mitchell Page a first base man
Glove , why not hand one to Drew Vettleson since
Playing time is scattered for AAÀ/ AA on paper .
His awful 2015 could see him repeat AA?
GG you may not agree ?
Interesting how much more chatter there
Would be if Goodwin and Skole were more
Revelent prospects ???
Let’s see. Pending FA signings by Nats for
Taxi Cuse Squad. Chiefs could have some thump
Especially in infield next year
Serious Difo hand injury ??
