• Robles 1-3, BB, SB
The jig was up for the Doubledays as the Renegades had it made against reliever Grant Borne with a three-run 6th en route to a 4-2. Starter Matthew Crownover saw his best outing of the season turn into a no-decision. He threw five shutout innings with four hits and two walks given up and two batters set down on strikes. Borne gave up all four runs (two earned) over three innings for the blown-save-loss. Victor Robles walked, singled, and stole a base while David Kerian went 2-for-4 with a double to pace the Auburn attack.
Robles was 1 for 3; he’s regressing badly. What a bum!
The Nats got lucky, Butler made it past waivers. Could have been ugly if he was claimed and then Ramos/Loboton were hurt.
Plus a walk and steal. Trade him
Congrats to Bostick on being the franchise’s only player to hit a home run yesterday.
