Syracuse — ALL-STAR BREAK
Jason Martinson will be the sole Chief at the annual All-Star game between the International League and the Pacific Coast League tonight in Omaha. Syracuse manager Billy Gardner will manage the I.L. team.
Harrisburg — ALL-STAR BREAK
Austin Voth, Gilberto Mendez (who replaced Paul Demny), and Pedro Severino will represent Harrisburg at the Eastern League All-Star game in Portland, Maine.
Potomac — OFF DAY
After their first scheduled off day since the All-Star break, the first-place P-Nats return to Woodbridge for a four-game set against first-half winner Myrtle Beach.
Hagerstown vs. West Virginia — PPD
Rain — yes, really — washed out the opener of the Power-Suns series. They’ll try to make it up tonight with a pair of seven-inning games.
Auburn — OFF DAY
Auburn heads for eastern Ohio to take on Mahoning Valley for three games before returning home this weekend for four games against the West Virginia Black Bears.
Talk about a slow day down on the farm! I admit that I’m hoping to read about some promotions and some rehab assignments by the time Syracuse and Harrisburg come back from the break.
That makes 2 of us. Not much left for Giolito to prove at High-A.
The Nats injury woes has meant Wilmer Difo’s been rotting away on a bench w/out any meaningful at bats.
Meanwhile @ Harrisburg some good All Star Break reviews by NP friend Mike Reinhart
