Dan Butler drove in two with a double in the 3rd and got the Homer Simpson RBI in the 6th as the Chiefs completed a three-game sweep of the PawSox with a 3-2 win. Joe Ross won his second AAA game with five shutout innings, giving up two hits and two walks. Jose Valverde pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his fifth save. Trea Turner led the Syracuse hit column with a 3-for-4 night.

Dakota Bacus threw a career-best eight shutout innings to lead the Senators to a 3-0 win over the Curve and take the series, 2-1. Bacus walked none, struck out four, and let up just four hits as he won his fifth AA game. Abel De Los Santos retired the side in order in the 9th for his fourth save. Wilmer Difo went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI to power the Harrisburg offense.

A solo HR in the top of the 10th was the difference as the P-Nats dropped a 2-1 decision to snap a modest four-game win streak. Lucas Giolito struck out 10 in six innings of relief of Aaron Barrett, who “started” for his MLB rehab outing and struck out the side in the 1st. Derek Self coughed up his seventh HR in just 37IP this season to take the loss, his third for Potomac. Adrian Sanchez went 2-for-4 and was the sole P-Nats batter to reach base twice.

Hagerstown rallied for three in the top of the 8th to tie the game, but Lakewood answered with two in the bottom half to take this one, 5-3. Drew Van Orden had a no-decision and a quality start with three runs allowed on seven hits and two walks while striking out six. Sam Johns was charged with the loss when David Napoli let in the baserunner Johns left him. Osvaldo Abreu remains hot with another multihit game as he went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and extended his hit streak to five games.

Mariano Rivera III started but was battered for four runs (three earned) on eight hits over three innings. He struck out one and walked none. McKenzie Mills was the loser in relief, charged with five runs over two and 2/3rds innings. Edwin Lora was force on offense, going 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI, and a farce on defense as he committed three of the four Doubledays errors.
