Kevin Keyes (4-for-5, 3R) went deep twice and drove in five as the Chiefs broke the Bats, 10-1 to take the series, 2-1. Joe Ross won his first AAA game with five innings of one-run ball, though that one run did come on a home run. Scott McGregor finished with four scoreless to earn the save, his first of 2015 and the second of his career. Trea Turner also homered while Mario Lisson joined Keyes in reaching base four times with a single and three walks.

Matt Skole’s fourth hit of the ballgame was a walkoff RBI double to give the Senators an eighth straight win by a 6-5 score in 13 innings against the Flying Squirrels. The 25-y.o. CI singled twice and homered once while hitting safely for the sixth time in the past seven games. The “W” went to Sam Runion for pitching a scoreless top of the 13th. Dakota Bacus started and went the first six and a 1/3rd innings, allowing all five Richmond runs on six hits, including two homers.
Austin Voth, Paul Demny and Pedro Severino were named to the Eastern League All-Star game, which will be played on July 15th in Portland, ME.

The P-Nats came up two outs short of a combined no-hitter to settle for a one-hit shutout of the Keys, 4-0. Rehabbing Aaron Barrett walked one and struck out two in his rehab inning in the 1st. Lucas Giolito followed with seven innings scoreless relief, walking one batter and hitting two while earning his third win. Manny Rodriguez gave up the lone hit with one out in the 9th but retired the next two batters to preserve the whitewash. Reigning Carolina Player of the Week Adrian Sanchez went 2-for-4 with an RBI double to lead the Potomac offense.

Matt Purke started and turned in five scoreless innings, letting up five hits, no walks, and striking out two. Deion Williams followed with three scoreless innings of relief, putting on four baserunners with two hits and two walks. Matt Reistetter singled twice and Osvaldo Abreu walked twice as the only Suns batters to reach base twice.

The Doubledays ‘pen blew a 4-1 lead in the 8th and coughed up the game-winning HR in the 11th as they lost to the Crosscutters, 5-4. Starter Robbie Dickey allowed one run over five innings on three hits and three walks for the no-decision. Ryan Brinley took the loss on the one hit he allowed over one-plus innings. Jakson Reetz went 2-for-5 with two runs scored while Kelvin Gutierrez doubled twice to lead the Auburn attack.
