The Bisons scored in five straight innings, erasing leads of 3-2 and 4-3 as they doubled up the Chiefs, 8-4. Taylor Hill was strafed for six runs on 11 hits and no walks while striking out two to lose for the third time. Veterans Darin Mastroianni and Dan Butler both went 2-for-4 as the Syracuse offense totaled nine hits and one walk but struck out 10 times.

A pitcher’s duel turned into a slugfest in the late innings as the Senators walked off for a 5-4 win in 10 innings for their ninth win in the last ten games. Colin Bates nursed a 1-0 deficit into the 7th until the Flying Squirrels struck for a two-out, three-run home run. Harrisburg broke up the no-hitter in the bottom of the 7th and scored two runs to cut the lead in half, then tied it in the bottom of the 9th. A single, hit by pitch, and a wild pitch set up Wilmer Difo’s 10th-inning sac fly to seal the deal.

Potomac rallied for five in the 6th to snap a 3-3 tie and take the series finale, 8-3 against Frederick. Phillips Valdez recovered from a three-run first to go the minimum for the win, giving up five hits, no walks while striking out four. Alec Keller and Adrian Sanchez both went 3-for-5 with a run scored while Grant DeBruin hit his first High-A home run as the P-Nats pounded out 11 hits and drew nine walks.

Greensboro scored five unanswered runs as they lost the game, 5-2, and the series, 2-1. Luis Reyes took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over six innings while fanning four. Jose “Orange” Marmolejos-Diaz singled and doubled to lead the Suns hit column, as Hagerstown was held to just seven hits on the night.

The Crosscutters completed the series sweep with a 6-1 win over the Doubledays. Matthew Crownover got knocked around for all six Williamsport runs on six hits and no walks while retiring just two batters in the 1st for his third loss in as many starts. Three relievers combined for six and a 1/3rd innings of scoreless relief, but the Auburn “attack” was five hits by three batters, with Andrew Stevenson and Kelvin Gutierrez both going 2-for-4 and Melvin Rodriguez going 1-for-4.
