I couldn’t post because my name was deleted. As this has been my favorite site for a few years now, (I’ve posted since the sites inception) I find being dropped somewhat insulting. Guess I’m overly insensitive because it’s happened before. Much of the time I read other’s comments, but I still consistently post as well.
I have my site set to only hold (moderate) comments for first-time commenters. What typically happens is folks mistype their email address. As far as I can tell, it’s not case-sensitive, but then again, once I approve a combination (u/n, e/m) it’ll go through unless it triggers the other setting — multiple links. It’s also possible that my comment-spam plugin may have gotten some of your comments, too; it snags several dozen comments every day and I don’t have the time to look through them.
So, don’t worry. It’s not any malice on my part — just my reliance on software and settings. And a bad copyeditor.
Here, I believe the system
I’ll say Trea Turner is god.
That 0 for 18 start at Syracuse is a distant memory. Since then, his OBP is a whopping .459!
Can you say quick study?
For whatever it’s worth, I see that Destin Hood was released by Cleveland and has signed with the Phillies.
Sad to hear that. If he’s looking more 2.5A than AAAA, he’s got to do what’s best for his future and consider a return to college football. Hood has always a favorite of mine, and I was hoping he could leverage last year’s progress into a cup of coffee in The Show.
a few more interestings:
GCL – Keep an eye on Gilbert Ramirez. I know our friend Jeff does. Apart from being promoted from DSL in the middle of last year, very unusual — though he was older — he has already five stolen base attempts in his first few games back. Yet he is 6’4. Wow.
Also Telemito Agustin, man on fire.
Have to think Robles goes up to Auburn soon. 10 walks in 83 PA. Too many players in the GCL OF-1B-DH rotation need more playing time, and it is showing.
Blake Perkins, whatever his adjustment, has now really picked it up.
Philip Diederick keeps hitting home runs (4)
Auburn – Stevenson pushing upward though did not play in a doubleheader today. Tomorrow will reveal good news or bad.
SS Edwin Lora leading the team in TB from the 39 spot in the lineup. Reminiscent of Abreu one level up. So is his error total.
Lots of middle infielders showing up well offensively – what a difference from last year.
Hagerstown – Matthew Page showing good plate discipline.
Potomac – Wherefore Hector Silvestre?
Harrisburg – Such an amazing turnaround. Cutter Dykstra the improbable slugger.
Syracuse – 31 games in , Kevin Keyes still getting it done.
Very shocked Keyes is holding his own at Syracuse. He looked dead in the water a couple years back.
