I have been looking at the Harrisburg boxes to keep up my own Trea Turner updates, and it seems that one of the main consequences of Turner coming to Harrisburg is that Cutter Dykstra rides the bench. Is it time to conclude that Dykstra is really just organizational depth now for sure, and not really someone with much of a chance to taste the big leagues? I hope not, but riding the pines in AA isn’t a good sign.
Ii don’t think he will make it to the Bigs. Good to see Turner hitting. He seems to be 0 for or 2-3 hits per game so far. Few errors but hopefully it is just because of new team and getting adjusted.
Nats have apparently agreed to terms with their top draft pick, Stevenson, for $750k – approx. $300k under slot. If I remember what someone else posted correctly, that means that the Nats have spend approx. $5-600k under slot for their top 10 draft picks – leaving some pocket money aside to throw at people outside of the Top-10 rounds?
I presume they will use the money saved to try to sign one of the high schools players selected late in the draft. Money vs college…
