The Chiefs rallied for three in the 6th to tie it at 3-3 but couldn’t push across the go-ahead run as the Bisons broke through for two in the top of the 11th to take this one, 5-3. Starter Scott McGregor pitched into the 7th, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over six and a 1/3rd innings. Evan Meek took the loss as he gave up the final two Buffalo runs in the 11th, his second inning of work. Kevin Keyes remains red-hot (11-for-22) since his AAA arrival as the 26-y.o. went 3-for-5 with a three-run double to lead the Syracuse attack

Dakota Bacus tossed a seven-inning shutout in a 4-0 Harrisburg win in the first of two scheduled yesterday. The 24-y.o. allowed just six hits and two walks while striking out three to earn his third AA win. Defensively, Trea Turner, Wilmer Difo, and Matt Skole turned four double plays. Offensively, the trio combined for seven hits and scored three runs to lead the Sens offense. Rain postponed Game Two to Monday night.

The P-Nats got two in the bottom of the 3rd before the rains came and washed out the game. They’ll resume play today at noon, and play a seven-inning game afterwards.
Hagerstown vs. Delmarva — CNCLD
The strong thunderstorms that ripped through Pennsylvania and Virginia also tore through Western Maryland, forcing the cancellation of last night’s game between the Suns and Shorebirds.

Auburn nearly won it in regulation, but coughed up the game-tying HR with two out in the 9th to force extras. In the 10th, the Doubledays scored four times with two outs, “aided” by two errors and a wild pitch to take this one, 9-5. Cole Plouck got the dreaded blown-save-win while starter Jefry Rodriguez was SSDL with four runs allowed on six hits and two walks over five tumultuous innings. Conor Keniry led the ten-hit parade with a 3-for-5 night, followed by Matthew Page and Luis Guzman, who both went 2-for-5.

DSL Update
The D-Nats won three and lost four in the third week of the DSL. As you might deduce from a team with a 7-12 record and young pitchers and even younger batters, the offense is below-average (4.46 R/G vs. 5.19) and the pitching is horrid (7.00 vs. 5.20). Omar Meregildo continues to dominate (.951 OPS) as does Pedro Avila, who struck out 16 in two starts this past week to run up his total to 31 K’s in 17⅓ IP.
