It was another 2-1 game in Syracuse, but this time the Chiefs were on the wrong end of the score. Bruce Billings turned in six shutout innings, giving up just three hits and no walks while fanning three. The loss when to Rich Hill for putting on the baserunner that Sam Runion let in the top of the 9th. Emmanuel Burriss drove in the lone Syracuse run with an RBI single in the 2nd. The Chiefs collected six hits and drew seven walks for the game but also hit into three double plays.

A pair of errors in the bottom of the 8th led to the deciding runs in a 3-1 Rock Cats win that completed the three-game sweep and handed the Senators their fifth straight loss overall. Starter Joe Ross was stellar again — six innings of one-run ball, with three hits and three walks allowed and seven strikeouts. Abel De Los Santos was charged with the loss, giving up a pair of singles between a double error on a tapper to second as Tony Renda missed first baseman Matt Skole and Skole threw it away trying to get the batter-runner advancing to second. Kevin Keyes was the sole Harrisburg hitter to walk and collected one of the seven hits on the night.
Wilmington vs. Potomac — PPD
The P-Nats and Blue Rocks were washed out again, forcing a pair of doubleheaders — one tonight at 5 p.m., the other on Wednesday, May 27th at 6 p.m. Reynaldo Lopez’s debut is still set for Game One while Casey Janssen will make a rehab appearance in Game Two with Nick Pivetta to follow in his regularly scheduled turn of the rotation

Hagerstown answered a three-run 1st with a six-run 2nd and held the lead for a 9-6 decision over Rome, breaking a three-game losing streak. Luis Reyes fell one out short of qualifying for the win, giving up all six Barves runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks over four and 2/3rds innings. The win went to recently demoted David Napoli while Jake Walsh set the side down in order in the 9th for a save in his season debut. D.K. Carey led the Suns’ 12-hit parade with three singles and two runs scored, followed by Cody Dent and Grant DeBruin, who both went 2-for-4 and combined for three runs scored and three RBI.
Trea Turner Update
Turner was 1-for-3 with two walks and a run scored in a 9-1 San Antonio rout of Frisco. His hit streak is in limbo, thanks to Tuesday’s suspended game, but his on-base streak is now a modest seven games.
Pardon me for being slow on this, but it just occurred to me, and maybe you all have discussed it. Trea Turner is playing in AA. When he comes to the Nationals next month, he will encounter Wilmer Difo at SS and Tony Renda at 2b in Harrisburg. How do you figure that this will resolve itself?
+1/2St.
That is the $64,000 question! Bet on Difo moving to 2nd.
The way he’s hitting, possible that Difo moves up again??
Nice to see Joe Ross righting the ship his last couple of starts. Any word on when Giolito or Lopez will be slotted into the Potomac rotation?
Lopez started last night, Giolito starts tonight
I go with Andrew ‘s answer
But the $65,000 question with cost of living thrown in
Will be totally altered .
After the Turner question is answered we will be discussing the
Cold RH bats up and down chain plus the draft needs being taken
: right hand bats and lefty pitchers especially with the two second rounders
Time to scalp Braves since the temp is warmer than
Series in TED !! Lol
