It was a battle of attrition between the Indianapolis and Syracuse bullpens in a 6-4 win by the visitors. Starter Scott McGregor took the loss with three runs allowed on six hits and two walks over six and a 1/3rd innings. Four relievers followed and none of them could prevent the Indians from scoring over the final two and 2/3rds innings. Emmanuel Burriss singled, walked, homered, and scored two runs while Ian Stewart walked twice and doubled once to pace the Chiefs offense.

Two veteran pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout as the Senators blanked the Rock Cats, 1-0. Richard Bleier gave up both hits and just one walks over eight innings while fanning seven to win his third game for Harrisburg. Hector Ambriz struck out the side — twice looking — on just 13 pitches to nail down the game and earn the save. Mario Lisson’s RBI single in the 3rd plated Derrick Robinson, who led the Senators hit column with a 2-for-4 night.

Reynaldo Lopez gave up five runs for the first time in more than two years and suffered his first loss as the Pelicans doubled up the P-Nats, 8-4. All his runs came in the 3rd on four hits (five total) and a walk (on seven pitches) as Myrtle Beach chased Lopez with two outs in the inning. Potomac homered three times with the bases empty and was unable to get the clutch hit (1-for-7 RISP) as the P-Nats scored just four times on 11 hits and three walks and left nine men on base.

Hagerstown outhit Lexington 9-7 with Grant DeBruin (2-for-4), D.K. Carey (1-for-3, BB), and Austin Davidson (same) each reaching base twice.
