Durham 7 Syracuse 6
• Jordan 5⅔ IP, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 0BB, 5K
• Martin (BS, 1; L, 1-2) 1⅔ IP, 2H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 1K, 2-0 IR-S
• Mastroianni 2-3, 2BB, RBI, SB, CS
• Stewart 2-4, 2R, 2HR, 4RBI

Rafael Martin’s struggles continued in a 7-6 loss for the Chiefs. The 30-y.o. reliever has now given up runs in three straight appearances, including two in the 9th to blow the save and lose the game. Taylor Jordan got the start pitched into the 6th, allowing two runs on five hit and no walks while striking out five for another no-decision. Veterans Darin Mastroianni (2-for-3, 2BB) and Ian Stewart (2-for-4, 2HR) powered the Syracuse offense with four hits, two runs, and four RBI combined.
Roster move: OF Kevin Mattison released.

Altoona 10 Harrisburg 4
• Rauh (L, 0-3) 5IP, 9H, 5R, 1ER, 2BB, 6K, HR
• Harper 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Severino 2-4
• Skole 1-4, R, HR, 3RBI

Altoona jumped on starter Brian Rauh for five runs in the first and cruised to a 10-4 win over Harrisburg. While four of those runs were unearned, Rauh gave up nine hits total over five innings, including a HR. He walked one and struck out six while losing his third AA game.
Meanwhile MLB rehab Charlie Morton shut down the Sens on two hits over seven innings. Matt Skole’s three-run shot highlighted a too-little, too-late four-run rally in the bottom of the 9th.
Roster move: RHP Tim Alderson placed on the 7-Day DL, retroactive to May 4th.

Frederick 8 Potomac 7
• Giolito 4⅓ IP, 8H, 5R, 5ER, 2BB, 5K
• E. Davis 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 2K
• Perez 2-3, 2BB, 2RBI,
• Kieboom 3-5, 2R, 3B, RBI
• Ward 2-5, R, 2B, HR, 2RBI, E(4)

Roster move: RHP Erik Davis assigned from Washington for MLB rehab.

Rome 13 Hagerstown 0
• J. Rodriguez (L, 0-2) 3⅓ IP, 5H, 6R, 4ER, BB, 2K, HR
• M. Sanchez 1⅔ IP, 3H, 4R, 1ER, 2BB, 1K, 3-3 IR-S
• Keller 2-4
• Read 1-3, BB

Rome prevented a three-game sweep with 13-0 pounding of Hagerstown. Jefry Rodriguez took the loss, charged with six runs (four earned) on five hits over three and a 1/3rd innings. He walked one and struck out two in his second loss in three starts. Alec Keller went 2-for-4 while Raudy Read was 1-for-3 with a walk. The rest of the lineup was 2-for-23 as they managed just five hits and one walk total.

Trea Turner Update
Turner went to town on Frisco pitchers, going 4-for-6 with a double and a home run and four RBI in a 12-2 San Antonio win.
