Syracuse — OFF DAY
The Chiefs resume their six-game homestand with a weekend series against the Indians before heading to Norfolk and Durham next week to close out the month of May.
Roster move: LHP Felipe Rivero optioned from Washington.

Harrisburg 9 Binghamton 2
• Bacus (W, 1-0) 6IP, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 1K
• De Los Santos 2IP, 0H, 0R, BB, K
• D. Robinson 4-5, 2R, SB
• Keyes 3-5, R, 2B, CS
• Renda 2-4, 4R, BB, HR, 3RBI

Harrisburg’s offense continues to roll with a 9-2 win over Binghamton. Dakota Bacus, the reigning Carolina League Pitcher of the Week, didn’t skip a beat as he spun a quality start of two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings to win his AA debut. Derrick Robinson singled four times while Tony Renda scored four times while homering for the first time in 2015. Every position player hit safely as the Senators pounded out a season-high 16 hits.
Roster move: RHP Casey Janssen rehab assignment ended.

Potomac 11 Carolina 1
• Simms (W, 1-4) 6⅔ IP, 5H, R, ER, 0BB, 2K, HR
• Thomas 2⅓ IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, K
• Ballou 3-5, 2R, 3B, 3RBI
• Perez 2-4, 3R, 2BB, RBI
• Miller 2-4, R, 2B, BB, RBI

In his previous four starts, John Simms had five runs scored for him. Last night, Potomac more than doubled that total with an 11-1 demoliton to complete the three-game sweep of Carolina. Simms threw his third straight quality start, dinged for home run in the 4th and five hits total as he pitched a season-best six and 2/3rds innings for his first “W” of the year. Isaac Ballou scored twice, drove in three, and went 3-for-5 with a triple to lead the Potomac onslaught of 11 hits and ten walks.

Hagerstown 3 Lexington 2
• Van Orden (W, 2-1) 5IP, 1H, 1R, 1ER, BB, K, HR
• Sanchez (H, 1) 2⅔ IP, 3H, 1R, 0ER, BB, 2K
• Dent 2-4, R, HR, RBI
• DeBruin 1-3, 2R, HR, RBI

Hagerstown posted a picket fence with single runs in the 4th, 5th, and 6th and held off a late Lexington charge for a 3-2 win. Starter and winning pitcher Drew Van Orden returned to the rotation with one hit and one walk allowed over five innings. Unfortunately, that one hit was a solo HR in the 4th, which Suns batters Cody Dent and Grant DeBruin matched in the 5th and 6th innings. Mario Sanchez gave up an unearned run over two and a 1/3rd innings to earn the hold while David Napoli got the last four outs to pick up the save.

Trea Turner Update

Now there is an interesting rotation in harrisburg after
All the dust settled ( Silvestre 60 day DL) .
Daubach used a well placed double steal last night
    To get the momentum on.
Some serious gas in Suns rotation now.
Glad we are past the spring rain outs and
In and out rotation turns in chains. G force and
Le GAS Lopez sure helps fortify two rotations now .
Now for the bats to heat up with a happy memorial day
    Weekend to all!
    Especially you, Luke!
