Syracuse jumped on Pawtucket for three runs in the 1st en route to a 5-1 win, ending a four-game slide. Spot starter Richard Bleier put the kibosh on the PawSox with six innings of one-run ball on six hits and no walks. He struck out three. Ian Stewart doubled, homered, and drove in two, going deep along with Jason Martinson in the sixth. The two combined for four hits and four RBI, with veteran Mark Minicozzi accounting for the fifth run with an RBI double.
Roster move: OF Michael Taylor recalled to Washington; RHP A.J. Cole optioned from Washington.

Harrisburg 3 New Britain 2

Brian Goodwin’s base-on-balls with the bases loaded made it quite literally a walkoff win for Harrisburg. Trailing 2-0 going into the bottom of the 9th, the Sens connected for three hits to tie it before the Rock Cats put Caleb Ramsey, who had gone 2-for-3, on base intentionally then walked Goodwin for the game-winner. James Simmons, who worked around two baserunners in the top of the 9th, got the win. Austin Voth turned in a quality start with two unearned runs let in on five hits and two walks over six innings.
Roster move: LHP Sammy Solis recalled to Washington.

Make that five losses in a row for the P-Nats as they dropped a 6-3 decision to the Dash while committing five errors. Wander Suero walked five and gave up six runs (three earned) in two-plus innings on four hits, including a two-run HR. Cody Davis stranded two runners for Suero and pitched four scoreless innings of relief. The Potomac offense stagnated beyond the top two batters in the lineup — Narciso Mesa (1-for-4) and Isaac Ballou (3-for-4) — as they managed just six hits total.

Luis Reyes went a season-long six innings and let in just two runs, but it wasn’t enough as the Suns were eclipsed by the Power, 4-0. Reyes allowed six hits, walked one, and struck out one to lose for the second time this season. Mario Sanchez finished the game, giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit (a solo HR in the 7th) and one walk while fanning five. The Hagerstown bats were limited to just four singles and two walks, with Alec Keller the only hitter to reach base twice with a single in the 1st and a walk in the 3rd.

Trea Turner Update
Turner returned to the lineup after a two-game absence, described by the Missions broadcaster in his first AB as being “under the weather,” but was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Since his hit streak ended a week ago, Turner is 1-for-17 with six whiffs in four games.
