Trea Turner Update
Turner went 2-for-4 with a walk to push his BA above .300 (.303) and extend his hit streak to six games.
Duke Drew looks like the promised stud on mound !

Now if only Gunther and Langlois come up by
June for depth and diversity
Lisson off the XST scneid. Lozada on DL
What with Cody Dent luke?
Best guess: hurt, given they’re using 24-y.o. NDFA at Hags.
Surprising that kevin Mattison is still in
XST after injuries to Bautista and Vettleson .
He could be potomAc bench help .
Right , Luke? More lefty for potomAc
Luke , is WP Worms going off to medical school
Or debating joining XST?
No, he’s in med school from all accounts.
I said last year that Souza would have a better year than Harper and everyone laughed. So far so good.
Bryce has higher OBP and SLG by pretty wide margins.
Jake Johansen (S,1) stats yesterday: 4IP; 4H; 1ER; 8K. He pitched from the 6th inning on. Are they setting him up to be a long reliever (ala Stammen)? They could also be keeping his arm sharp and in shape for starting role as well. Really interesting that they let him stay in the game that long. Can’t pinpoint out what they are trying to do. Thoughts?
The past couple of years the Nats have been using relievers for 3+ inning stints a lot in April. It’s tough to discern, but as you imply, his usage does enable them to give him spot starts while still training him to be a reliever.
Baseball America shows Trea Turner playing for both San Antonio and Tulsa. What is up with that?
