Trea Turner Update

Credit to Blake Schwartz, who leaves on his own terms. 2013 was his best year. Whether he got hurt after that, we’ll never know but was not effective last year or this. Best of luck to him.
Finally, a Goodwin sighting.
Surprising that it’s at Harrisburg, though. Hopefully he can stay healthy from here on.
Goodwin at Harrisburg is a way of bringing him along while he gets his rhythm. The organization has a way of nurturing folks. But after many months of silence, a Goodwin sighting is welcome.
The Nats’ organization starting pitching glut at A+-AA is playing itself out in interesting and fascinating ways. Rauh, not even in the top five projected at Potomac, took off and is now in AA. Suero, a flop last year at Potomac, is holding on for dear life. Schwartz is now out of the picture. Now Simms steps in, demoted from AA.
Which leaves: Giolito, Lopez, Dickson, and Silvestre, the four top incoming to A+ (or even higher) still waiting to get into the rotation!
I can see a AAA body falling and Espino getting his promotion. But it’s hard to project who falls in A+ or AA to make room for all four of the above. And it’s April 25. Going to be an interesting week.
I think we’ll see Goodwin up to DC sometime this year. A young, lefty toolsy outfielder will get a shot .
If he can hit again.
