Ryan Tatusko finally got the run support worthy of his efforts thus far this season (2.18 ERA, 0.68 WHIP) in a 4-1 Syracuse win over Louisville. The 29-y.o. veteran tossed his second straight quality start for his first win, holding the Bats’, um, bats to just one run on four hits with no walks and three K’s over six innings. The Chiefs took advantage of a sloppy 5th inning, scoring three times on three hits with the help of three Louisville errors in the 5th to snap a 1-1 tie. Will “Don’t Call Me Buster” Rhymes led the offense with a 3-for-4 night, scoring a run, drawing a walk, and stealing a base. Brian Goodwin saw his hit streak stop at 11 but extended his on-base streak to 12 with his team-leading 13th base-on-balls. Roster moves: LHP Danny Rosenbaum placed on 7-Day DL; LHP Zach Jackson reassigned from Harrisburg; LHP Xavier “Carry On” Cedeno optioned from Washington; RHP Aaron Barrett recalled to Washington.

Felipe Rivero couldn’t stop the Sens trend of giving up runs early and often as the Curve shut them out, 7-0. Rivero was charged with six runs on nine hits and three walks over three and a 1/3rd innings. He struck out two and gave up his second home run of the season while taking his fourth loss in as many starts. Caleb Ramsey and Destin Hood both went 2-for-4 to account for four of the five (5) Harrisburg hits. Michael Taylor whiffed four times to extend his E.L-leading batting strikeout mark to 28 in 16 games.
A corresponding move to the reassignment of LHP Zack Jackson to AAA has not yet been announced.
Potomac — OFF DAY
Potomac returns to the Pfitz on a three-game win streak after a 4-2 road trip to Myrtle Beach and Lynchburg. They’ll host Winston-Salem for the three games and finish their first-half slate against the Hillcats with a four-game series from Saturday to Tuesday. Doug Fister is expected to make a rehab start on Sunday, which should take some pressure off Brett Mooneyham, presuming he’s not skipped and/or there’s no rainout between now and then.

Isaac Ballou’s RBI triple tied it and Wilmer Difo’s RBI single put the Suns ahead as they rallied for two in the 9th to even the series at 1-1 with 4-3 win over the GreenJackets. Lucas Giolito got his third no-decision as the Hagerstown ace was buzzed for three runs on three hit and three walks over four innings. He struck out five but also hit a batter. Wander Suero got the win with four shutout frames of two-hit relief with no BBs and 2 K’s. Difo went 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBI to lead the Suns attack, followed closely by Estarlin Martinez’s 2-for-3 night with a walk and a stolen base, though he was also caught stealing.
