Syracuse stopped a two-game slide with a 7-0 shutout of the Louisville Bats. Blake Treinen got the start, but was lifted due to a high pitch count, throwing 32 pitches in the 1st and four to the first out of the 2nd. This appeared to be by design as the first man out of the bullpen was warming up before the 2nd began and the originally announced starter, Aaron Laffey, went six scoreless innings for win, walking one and fanning five. Emmanuel Burriss and Will “Don’t Call Me Buster” Rhymes both went 2-for-4 with two runs scored to power the Syracuse offense. Injury update: Sources are passing along news that Danny Rosenbaum will soon undergo elbow surgery.

After rallying from a five-run deficit and scoring twice in the 9th to take a three-run lead, the Senators imploded in the 9th for a 10-9 loss, their 13th of the season and third straight. The blown-save-loss went to Tyler Herron who gave up but one hit, a solo HR to start the final frame, but committed two critical errors that let in the tying runs and put the winning run on 3rd with one out. After a pair of IBBs to set up a DP, PH Elias Diaz hit a SF to deep CF for the GWRBI. Caleb Ramsey, Justin Bloxom, and Brandon Bantz each had two hits to pace the 11-hit Harrisburg attack. Roster move: RHP Paolo Espino, a longtime farmhand in the Cleveland organization, has been reassigned from XST to replace LHP Zach Jackson on the Senators roster.

For the second straight night, the Suns rallied in the 9th but needed four extra innings to swat the GreenJackets, 5-3. Drew Ward’s two-out RBI single tied it while Craig Manuel’s two-run homer in the 13th won it. Starter Austin Voth only went three innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out four. Three relievers followed for ten innings of one-run relief, with the win going to L.J. Hollins. The Suns struggled with runners on (3-for-16), but as aforementioned, got the key when it mattered most. James Yezzo led the 15-hit parade with a 4-for-5 night, including a double and a walk, followed by John Wooten and Wilmer Difo, who both singled twice and doubled once.
