Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 7 Syracuse 2
• Tatusko (L, 0-1) 5⅔IP, 4H, 4R, 2ER, 2BB, 4K
• Robertson 1IP, 2H, 1R, 0ER, BB, 0K, 2-2 IR-S
• Peterson 2-4, 2K
• Souza 1-4, R, HR, 2RBI

The RailRiders crossed the trestle from a 2-1 deficit to a 5-2 lead with a four-run 6th as they scored the last six runs in a 7-2 win over the Chiefs. Working on three days’ rest, Ryan Tatusko was charged with four runs on four hits and two walks while striking four over five and 2/3rds. Just two of those runs were earned, “thanks” to a two-out error by Zach Walters, his third of the season. Steve Souza Jr. homered again to account for both Syracuse runs while Brock Peterson was the sole Chief to notch multiple hits with a 2-for-4 game.

Reading 2 Harrisburg 1
• Rivero (L, 0-2) 5IP, 5H, R, ER, 0BB, 3K, HR
• Holland 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Hood 1-3
• Ramsey 1-3

The Senators were on the wrong end of a one-run ballgame as Reading edged Harrisburg, 2-1. Felipe Rivero made just one mistake, a fastball up to Kelly Dugan, who deposited it over the RF fence for a solo shot in the 4th. Rivero allowed five hits total, walked none, and stuck out three over five innings. Cutter Dykstra tripled in the 9th and came in on a groundout by Matt Skole for the sole Senator run. Destin Hood and Caleb Ramsey both singled to account for the other two Harrisburg hits.

Potomac 7 Lynchburg 5
• Pena 5IP, 4H, 5R, 5ER, 2BB, 2K, HR
• Bacus (W, 1-0) 3IP, 0H, 0R, 2BB, 1K
• Tejeda 2-5, 2R, HR, 2RBI
• Miller 1-3, R, HR, 2RBI

Brandon Miller and Oscar Tejeda connected for two-run homers in the 5th and 6th innings as the P-Nats scored five unanswered runs and took the series finale from the Hillcats, 7-5. Starter Ronald Pena gave up all five Lynchburg runs on four hits and two walks but got the no-decision. Dakota Bacus declawed the Hillcats with three shutout innings of relief for the win. Robert Benincasa set’ em down in order with three groundouts for his second save of the season.

Hagerstown 6 Lakewood 0
• Giolito (W, 1-0) 5IP, 1H, 0R, BB, 6K
• Suero (SV, 1) 4IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 2K
• Masters 3-4, R, 3B, RBI
• Norfork 2-4, R, 2B, 2RBI, SB
• Ballou 2-5, R, 3B, RBI

Like Rivero, Lucas Giolito shook off a poor first start to notch his first Low-A win, combining with Wander Suero on a three-hitter as the Suns eclipsed the Blue Claws, 6-0. Giolito struck out six, walked one, and gave up just one hit over five frames. Suero pitched the final four innings, allowing two hits, no walks, and set down two on strikes. Hagerstown scalded Lakewood pitching for 10 hits, including two doubles and two triples. David Masters led the attack with a 3-for-4 night, scoring a run and driving in a run.
