The PawSox made the most of their offensive chances, scoring seven times on eight hits in a 7-1 win over the Chiefs to close out the five-game series. Starter Ryan Tatusko gave up all seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks for his sixth loss of the season. Tyler Robertson turned in three scoreless innings of relief to follow Tatusko, but the Syracuse offense couldn’t string its 11 hits together, going 2-for-12 with RISP and stranding 12 runners.

A.J. Cole turned in another quality start for his third win while Ricky Hague drove in three to lead the Senators to a 5-3 win over the Curve. The 21-y.o. gave up all three Altoona runs on three walks and four hits, including a solo shot in the 4th that gave the Curve a 3-2 lead. He struck out four in his fourth AA start. Hague went 2-for-4, plating two in the 1st with a single and the fifth Harrisburg run in the 7th with a two-out single, to lead the Senators attack. Richie Mirowski and Tyler Herron followed Cole with a scoreless frame apiece, each earning his fifth hold while Aaron Barrett struck out two in a 1-2-3 ninth for his 23rd save.

The Suns broke through for six runs against the Legends ‘pen, turning a 2-0 game into an 8-2 beatdown. Brett Mooneyham won his fifth straight start with six innings of two-hit scoreless pitching with just one walk and eight strikeouts. Will Piwinica-Worms’s two-run homer highlighted the three-run 7th while Khayyan Norfork’s two-run triple capped the three-run 8th. Estarlin Martinez reached base three times and scored twice with a single, double, and a walk to pace Hagerstown’s eight-hit, three-walk afternoon.

The Auburn’pen couldn’t hold a 5-1 lead, allowing nine runs in a 10-6 loss to Connecticut. Starter Jake Johansen struck out a season-high of eight batters over five innings, letting in a run on a solo HR and three hits total while walking a batter for his seventh no-decision. Jake Joyce let in the deciding runs in the Tigers five-run 9th for his second loss. Bryan Lippincott hit a two-run homer in the 1st and had an RBI double in the 9th while Isaac Ballou and Wilman Rodriguez both singled and doubled as the Doubledays notched 11 hits and drew three walks on offense.
