The Chiefs rallied from a 5-1 deficit with six unanswered runs in the final three innings of a 7-5 win in 10 innings. RBI singles by Kelly Shoppach and Zach Walters in the 10th sealed the deal for Syracuse. Erik Davis got the win in relief pitching the 8th and 9th innings while Xavier Cedeno tossed a scoreless 10th for the save. Nice to see Mooneyham have such a dominant start. Is he a promotion candidate?

Corey Brown may have finally made himself heard after all this time. Last 10 games his OPS is 1.299! For the season it’s .810, which is pretty good.

To his credit, the .200/.231/.400 line he put up last year during his ‘unsuccessful’ major league stint, would have been better than Marerro, Hairston, Moore, Espinosa, Tracy, Bernadina, Solano and Suzuki this season.

Corey is slugging .500 for the year!!!! Can’t hit left handers.
