The Chiefs rallied from a 5-1 deficit with six unanswered runs in the final three innings of a 7-5 win in 10 innings. Corey Brown’s three-run blast in the 8th kick-started the comeback while Jeff Kobernus’s two-out RBI single in the 9th tied it. RBI singles by Kelly Shoppach and Zach Walters in the 10th sealed the deal for Syracuse. Erik Davis got the win in relief pitching the 8th and 9th innings while Xavier Cedeno tossed a scoreless 10th for the save. Danny Rosenbaum gave up all five Indianapolis runs on five hits and four walks while setting down two on strikes.

Portland erased an early 2-0 Harrisburg lead with a three-run 3rd as the Sea Dogs scored five unanswered runs to win 5-2 at Fenway Park in Boston. Taylor Hill lost his fourth game, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four. The Senators mustered just five hits, with Jason Martinson the lone Senator to reach base twice with a walk and single.
Roster moves: OF Steve Souza placed on the 7-Day DL; UT Sean Nicol activated from the 7-Day DL.

Potomac scored four unanswered runs in the 8th and 9th innings to turn one-run game into a 7-2 victory, and taking the four-game series 3-1. Blake Schwartz became the first P-Nats starter to win eight games with a quality start of two runs on four hits over six and 2/3rds. He walked none and struck out five. Mike Gilmartin went 3-for-4 with a double to lead Potomac’s 12-hit parade on offense.

Brett Mooneyham issued no walks for the second straight start and pitched a season-high eight innings as the Suns shut out the Shorebirds, 6-0. The 23-y.o. Stanford alum allowed just two hits and fanned eight to win his sixth game. Derek Self preserved the shutout with a 1-2-3 ninth. Hagerstown busted out for five runs in the 4th, aided by an error on a sacrifice bunt that scored two runs. Shawn Pleffner went 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a stolen base to pace the Suns offense, which registered nine hits and two walks.

Through eight innings, the Doubledays held the Spikes to six hits. Three hits in the 9th, however, led to the two runs State College needed for a 2-1 walkoff win over Auburn. L.J. Hollins, who escaped a 1st-and-3rd jam with one out in the 8th, gave up two singles and a walk to load the bases, hit a batter to send in the tying run, then gave up a third single to take the blown-save-loss. Starter Austin Voth got the no-decision for his five innings of two-hit, no-walk ball with six strikeouts. Wilman Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Doubledays hit column while leadoff man Isaac Ballou reached base four times with a single and three base-on-balls.

The G-Mets erased an early 4-0 deficit but the G-Nats responded with a pair of crooked numbers in the 5th and 6th innings to take the Saturday morning game, 8-5. Travis Ott got the start and went three inning, giving up a run on three hits and two walks. He struck out two. Philips Valdez was ruled the winning pitcher despite coughing up three runs in the 5th. Jake Walsh struck out two in 1-2-3 ninth to get the save. Rafael Bautista went 4-for-5 with two RBI, missing the cycle by a home run as the G-Nats racked up 11 hits and went 5-for-12 with RISP.
