It was too little, too late as the Chiefs rallied for three in the 9th but fell to the Red Wings, 5-3. Starter Ryan Tatusko took the loss, his fourth, as he gabe up two runs on four hits and three walks over five innings. Zach Walters was responsible for all three runs with his 21st HR, going 1-for-4 overall with three strikeouts. Eury Perez and Chris Marrero both went 2-for-4 as the Chiefs were held to seven hits total.

A seven-run 7th put the game away for Akron as they cruised to an 11-2 win over Harrisburg. Robbie Ray started strong, retiring 12 of the first 13 batters, but let up three in the 5th and was charged three more in the 6th to take the loss, his first at AA. The Senators offense was held to just four hits, led by Steve Souza going 1-for-3 with a double and a walk and Jeff Howell connecting on a solo shot.

The Doubledays snapped a three-game skid with a 5-3 win over the Lake Monsters. Starter Austin Voth made it through the 1st unscathed, but needed 38 pitches to get three outs while facing five batters and was lifted. Cory Bafidis got the win in relief while L.J. Hollins got the final seven outs for his third save. Isaac Ballou and Wilman Rodriguez both had a pair of his and an RBI as Auburn made the most of its eight hits, going 6-for-14 with RISP.

GCL Nationals — OFF DAY
A pair of doubleheaders today and Wednesday makes it an eight-game week for the G-Nats, who are riding a four-game win streak and sit atop the GCL East with a 19-5 mark.

DSL Nationals — OFF DAY
The A.L. All-Stars defeated the N.L. 3-1 in the DSL All-Star game. Melvi Salazar pitched two scoreless innings, giving up a hit but striking out three.
