The fourth was strong with Syracuse as the Chiefs scored nine unanswered runs in a 9-1 victory over the Norfolk Tides. Just three hits did Ross Ohlendorf give up as seven and a third innings he did pitch, the solo run on a home run in the first. Jeff Kobernus led the 15-hit attack with a 4-for-5 night with a double and two RBI and two stolen bases. Zach Walters was close behind with three singles in five ABs as five Chiefs had multiple hits. The win ended a five-game losing streak.

A three-run 4th knocked Paul Demny from the box as Harrisburg fell to Binghamton, 8-2. It was the fifth time in six starts that Demny failed to go six innings, as he was charged with five runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks, though he did strike out seven. Trevor Holder turned in two perfect innings of relief to start, but the offense never got going, tallying just three hits and three walks while fanning eight times. Anthony Rendon drew a walk but struck out twice in three ABs his return to the minors.
