Any word on weather Giolito is starting today?
ESPN is reporting that Giolito has reinjured his elbow in his last start on August 14th. He is to be examined and evaluated this week.
Whether, not weather.
I’d have fixed it for you were I not on a cellphone at DD in upstate NY right now…
No word on when he’ll next appear in a game. Let’s hope the boxscore updates on time today 😉
Mmmmmm, doughnuts!
Just read on ESPN.com that ” Giolito has re-injured his elbow and will be evaluated this week to determine the extent of the injury, a team spokesperson said.”. Apparently, his velocity dropped consideridably in the second inning of his one and only outing. Looks like another one bites the dust.
Going to Lew Yocum. Plus is there any word on Nate Karns? Another injury possibility (again)?
All indications are that he’s hit his IP limit, not injured.
As we said earlier… no matter what happened, Rizzo was going to say it went well.
As we also said… that’s usually not the case.
Hopefully the surgery can take place soon and he can start his rehab.
I doubt if there are many of us surprised that Giolito is likely to go under the knife. If it’s tommy-john, the pick was still a good one in my opinion. Now Purke, that is another story.
It’s going to make it really hard for us to keep counting all our chickens what with all the eggs we keep stepping on around here. Geez.
